Biosketch and Research Interests
Kiran Gogi is a research scientist in the High-Throughput Screening Facility/Conn Lab at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He joined the HTS facility in 2008 after receiving a master’s degree in chemistry from Illinois State University. He worked with PC12 Cells to study their growth and release of neurotransmitter dopamine under stimulated conditions using Scanning Electrochemical Microscopy (SECM). His interests are in the fields of pharmacology and drug discovery. He would like to make a significant contribution in the coming years in these respective fields. Presently, he is working for the Vanderbilt Program in Drug Discovery on the mGluR5 PAM project under the supervision of Dr. Jeff Conn, Dr. Colleen Niswender and Dr. Paige Vinson.
