Biosketch and Research Interests
Christian Sevel is a Research scholar in the Department of Pharmacology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He joined the Conn laboratory in September 2011. Christian comes from Copenhagen, Denmark, where he is a graduate student in pharmaceutical sciences. He is here for a period of 9 months to work on a project for his finals as a graduate student. His current research interests include elucidating the roles of different subtypes of metabotropic acetylcholine receptors and activation of different signalling pathways.
He will also be involved in high-throughput screening efforts, in vitro pharmacological characterization of novel classes of drugs targeting Group III mGluRs.
